Sunday Services at WBC

Sunday is an important day at WBC when we can worship together as a church community. Our services express the joyful experience of knowing Jesus Christ and they are a spiritual highlight to the week, equipping us for living daily lives that honour God.

Our Sunday services take place at 10.30am and 6.30pm. Each lasts for about an hour and 15 minutes.

On Sunday morning our worship group leads a time of lively worship among a congregation of 150-200 people.

Our evening worship service has a much smaller congregation and is more traditional in style.

Both services have series-based Bible teaching, normally delivered by our Minister, Rev. Alan Dinnie. We always seek to apply the teaching of the Bible to life today.

We remember and give thanks for the sacrificial death of our Lord Jesus by taking Communion, usually on the first Sunday evening and the third Sunday morning of each  month.

From time to time we celebrate believer's baptism by immersion, as individuals within the church reach the point in their spiritual journey where they wish to show an outward public expression of their inward commitment to Christ.

Sunday for Children & Young People

Children and young people are catered for by a variety of Sunday Club groups that meet in parallel with the morning service, after a time of opening worship with the children and adults together.

Crèche facilities are also available.

We run six separate groups each Sunday, for varying ages:
  • Crèche & Toddlers
  • Pre-school & Foundation
  • School Years 1 & 2
  • School Years 3 & 4
  • School Years 5 & 6
  • School Years 7 - 13
In addition, we hold "The Furnace" - a church for young people of secondary school age - every Sunday evening during term-time from 6:30pm until 8:30pm.
