WOW! Ladies' Breakfasts

WOW! Breakfasts are held from time to time on a Saturday morning, from 8:00am until about 9:30am. Each breakfast is a relaxed and informal get together - with lots of opportunity to chat over a healthy or not-so-healthy breakfast (the choice is yours!). After breakfast we normally have a short  practical talk.

Below you will find the themes of the talks given at some of our previous WOW! Breakfasts:

SEPTEMBER 2010

Doreen gave us an insight into her plans and preparations for a forthcoming year of working abroad with Operation Mobilisation.

MAY 2010

On a Saturday morning in early May, about 40 ladies met together at WBC to enjoy each other’s company – and a full English breakfast! Plenty of warm toast, fresh fruit and a limitless supply of hot and cold drinks all contributed to our delicious weekend feast as we chatted together and celebrated the love of God.

After breakfast, a few ladies shared personal stories of how God has been a faithful presence and guide in their own lives, how he has graciously answered their prayers, and has provided for them in many specific ways during the highs and lows of life.  These testimonies encouraged us to end our breakfast celebration by saying “Thank you, God” for the many different things that we are grateful for as part of the church family of WBC - for his love and goodness, shown to us in so many ways.

JANUARY 2010

Amanda gave us a great insight into her recent time in Calcutta on a 3-month BMS mission trip - with plenty of photos to show the situations she worked in and the people she met.

JULY 2009

Libby spoke about juggling the many roles we have as women. We talked about how we feel as we try to fulfil all of these roles and how often we feel like we have failed in many of them. Libby encouraged us to seek God for the roles he has called us to, and to rely on him and his strength to fulfil them.

APRIL 2009

Jan talked about setting goals for the future. We were encouraged to have goals in different areas of our lives - spiritual, emotional, educational and physical.
