HAITI
EARTHQUAKE & RELIEF APPEAL. If you would like to give, MAF are
working in the area with other agencies. There is a basket at the back
of the church for gifts; cheques will be forwarded to MAF.
The
SALVATION ARMY has written to express their thanks to the church for
the sum of £194.26, which was given here at the two Carols by
Candlelight services on December 20th. They were able to use the
donation towards their Christmas Day meal at which they served over 130
people.
A new SUNDAY MORNING SERIES
begins next week "God@work.com". Small Groups meeting this week will
have a short DVD that further explains the areas spoken about on
Sunday, regarding vision - a great opportunity to join a small group.
There
is a Service of Induction for the Rev. Paul Kerley as Regional Minister
of SEBA at Tenterden Baptist Church on Saturday, January 30th at
3.00pm. The speaker will be Jonathan Edwards. All are welcome to attend.
On
Sunday, 31st January 2010, every person in a Baptist church in the
south east of England will receive, free of charge, a copy of the
second SEBA News along with a free Baptist Times for that week with the
compliments of the South Eastern Baptist Association. SEBA News is an
eight-page newspaper with reports and information about how God is
working through Christians in Baptist churches all over the south-east.
